Good morning lovely crafters.
It’s the start of a new month and time for me to share our Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge with you.
This months grid, which as you can see has lots of unusual elements on it, was created by our wonderful design team member Cheryl Even.
If you are new to the Tic Tac Toe challenge, and want to find out more about it, the details are all here in the Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge blog. It’s a fabulous challenge to take part it and we love to see all of the beautiful projects that are entered each month. Follow the link above and you’ll see how easy it is to join in and see the projects added by talented crafters from across the world.
For this months grid I chose to follow the left hand vertical column which are ‘Vellum, Baker’s Twine and Thanks’ and this is the project I came up with.
It’s a simple layered card in shades of lilac with a Vellum shadow under the sentiment and has a kite topper with a Baker’s Twine tail. I used two colours of Vellum under the sentiment to help it stand out more against the stamped background and coloured some white Baker’s Twine using some Ink Pad re-inker to coordinate with the rest of the card.
The Die Cut topper was made using a Kite die set from Waffle Flower and the sentiment is cut from a lovely die set from Crafti Potential which has a coordinating stamp set with lots of additional words to go with the word die.
I had fun revisiting the ‘Stamping Off’ technique to make the background for this card, it’s not often I only use one colour for a project but I was really happy with the way it turned out.
Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read my post today, dont forget to click on the link above to go to the Joy of Sets blog and see all of the other fabulous projects created by the other design team members and I hope you’re inspired to make one of your own and enter it into the challenge.
Take care and stay safe
